WhatsApp is officially, the most discussed application of the moment, and introducing the Voice Calling feature was a wise decision, because WhatsApp can finally compete with Viber in terms of features, but WhatsApp already has a bigger number of users which are very satisfied with the fact that the application consumes less data units. If you haven’t installed WhatsApp yet, download it from the official website and ask someone who has the Voice Calling feature enabled, to call you.
Children, parents, grandparents, employers and employees, there’s no special category of WhatsApp users. This application is used by anyone who likes to chat from a mobile phone and use the internet connection to send messages and multimedia files. So, if you have a data plan or a router in your house, you can connect to your WiFi network and you can send messages to your friends, for free. Maybe you’ll go to a restaurant or hotel with available hot spots and instead of consuming your data plan you’ll use their WiFi networks. You will no longer worry about recharging mobile credits or pay a huge phone bill for accessing the internet.
WhatApp, as well as other messaging applications, started from scratch and their success came years later, after more and more people registered out of curiosity, to try their features. Currently, there are over 70 million active users in India, from a total of 700 million global active users and every day, new people are registering.
In January, WhatsApp send invitations to random users to join the testing program for the Voice Calling feature and they were allowed to call their families and friends. This way, the feature was activated on their contacts’ devices and they repeated this action and called other people, so the feature was passed on and now, many users are able to make HD quality voice calls. If you’re one of the users who got a voice call from someone, you can do the same with your loved ones: make a voice call and help them activate this feature. They will appreciate it.
But everyone can enable this feature. The condition for them to be allowed to activate it is to have an Android device running on the 2.1 version or above and to have the latestAPK version 2.12.14 installed, which can be bought from WhatsApp’s website.
When someone receives a voice call from a contact, he/she must restart the phone and open the application, which will show a tab containing a Calls button.
