WhatsApp is one of the most used applications out there and with the release of the Voice Calling feature, it attracted even more users. The developers have worked hard to bring this most waited feature to the application and now that they finally did it, they will most likely take the application to a new level.
WhatsApp was bought by Facebook on February 2014 for 19 billion dollars and a lot of people said that was a big mistake. However, in January 2015, the application surpassed 700 million active users and the company is worth over 22 billion dollars as we speak.
Facebook is known as one of the most progressive organizations out there and that was seen even on WhatsApp after it was bought by the big social network. Zuckerberg is known as a guy who likes to take risks and try new things and it seems that he made a good choice by buying this application.
Most of the WhatsApp users were happy that Facebook took over this application, but many didn’t enjoy the new blue ticks that everyone could see whenever you read their messages, making a lot of users installing the WhatsApp Plus application, an alternative which allowed them to disable the blue ticks. However, WhatsApp’s developers reacted fast and they also added a setting to disable this feature.
WhatsApp Video Calling feature
There are rumors saying that the developers are currently working on brining the Video Calling feature to WhatsApp. This was not confirmed yet by anyone from WhatsApp, but if this is true, we’re pretty sure that it will make even more users to install the application on their devices.
WhatsApp is already allowing you to send and receive photo files, video files, instant messages and now you can even make Voice Calls. All these features are offered to you for FREE as the application uses the internet connection. Even if you have to pay 0.99 dollars per year for using this application, we think that it’s worth installing it, considering that it has all these useful features.
WhatsApp’s Video Calling feature is rumored to be released in May 2015 and if this will truly happen, then we’re not sure what else we can expect from this great application.
Do you think that WhatsApp will feature a Video Calling feature soon?
