How To Download Google Play For The First Time

Let us assume that you have just bought an Android phone or tablet for the first time in your life. Now, you will of course want to be able to explore the range of apps that are available and to do this you are going to need to access the Google Play Store. This app store has the largest collection of downloads for the Android operating system in existence and getting the app is a lot easier than you may have anticipated.
Getting An Account.
Of course, downloading and installing the app is only part of the process as you need to set up your very own account on the store in order to get to the apps. This is quick and easy to do and this is achieved by going to their website and following some rather simple instructions.
Downloading The App.
If we then move on to the actual downloading of the app, then you are advised to download the Google Play Store APK file and this is done via their very own website. It is a small file, but it is also extremely important and it should automatically be saved into your downloads file, so make sure that you know where that is located on your device.
At this point there is one very important step that you must follow in order to get this download to work. Go to the device settings section on either your phone or tablet and look for a box that mentions unknown sources. Click on this so that a tick appears and save the settings as this will make the installation part so much easier.
Next, go to wherever the file has been saved and click on the Google Play file. At this point you will then be given another screen and you have to choose the package install option at this stage. After this, yet another screen will appear and you need to just navigate through them, but you can largely ignore the page about changing permissions as this is going to be absolutely fine for the vast majority of people. Then, you need to click on install and let it do its own thing.
Finally, one key piece of advice is to make sure that you then go back to the part on your phone that dealt with the unknown sources option and untick the box. This is going to just help keep your phone safe from any unwanted downloads, so never leave this box ticked for longer than you need to.
So, if you are downloading the Google Play Store app for the first time:
  1. Set up your account with Google Play by going to their website.
  2. Download the APK file and remember where it has been saved on your device.
  3. Change the unknown sources option on your device and save that setting.
  4. Navigate to the file and open it.
  5. Select the package install option.
  6. Follow the next two screens carefully and then hit install.
  7. Untick the unknown sources box for security reasons.
  8. Check out the apps on offer.
As you can see, even if you are brand new to downloading and installing apps there is no reason for this to be complicated and something that you find extremely difficult. It takes a matter of minutes before you are up and running and you will then have hundreds of thousands of apps to check out whenever you are ready to do so.
