iOS is very different from Android, but it’s quite a closed operating system and there are applications that run exclusively on this OS. The users are in love with its intuitive interface and its variety of colors, but there are some secret codes that can be used to enter a magic world. By dialing a sequence of numbers and symbols, you will get some incredible results.
Call Forwarding
By calling *#21# on your iPhone, you will get information about your call and forwarding. So, if you want to receive the call from another number, this option is perfect! However, to disable it, you will press ##002# on your iPhone dial pad.
Call Forwarding Extended
By dialing *#62#, you will retrieve call forwarding information when your device is out of service area or switched off.
Hiding your Number
To hide your number, dial *#31# on your iPhone.
Blocking numbers
When someone keeps calling you in the middle of the night, but only to hear your voice, he might be a stalker and you need to keep him away. To block his number, dial *#30# on your iPhone.
Missed call status
Instead of viewing the Missed Call List in Call Log, to check which number called you last time, simply dial *#61# on your iPhone.
Call barring
Call barring is the way to prevent your phone from making or receiving calls and to turn on this option, dial *#33# on your iPhone, followed by the pin number of your carrier. This way, if you have a kid and you don’t want to call someone by mistake, call barring will do the job. To disable the option, dial #33* and the same pin number.
Call waiting
When you are in the middle of a phone call, you can still receive another call and to enable this option, dial *#43# on your iPhone. To disable it, press #43#.
IMEI number
The IMEI number consists of 15 decimal digits: (14 digits and a check digit) and it gives you information about your device: origin, model and serial number. To find out the International Mobile Equipment Number of your iPhone, dial *#06# and a flashing pop-up will show up. Remember that when you lose your phone or it gets stolen, if you go to the police and lodge a complaint, you will need to specify your phone’s IMEI.
Secret settings
If you’ll dial *3001#12345#*, you’ll get the hidden field test mode and information about your current signal, SIM info etc.
Did you knew about these secret codes?
