The world of technology is full of wonders and for sure, wonders never cease.
A Chinese manufacturer by the name of Elephone will be rolling out a new phone that has never been launched before in the history of smartphones. It is now official that we will see the first dual OS smartphone that will come with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop and the new Windows 10 for Phones.
So, if you are an Android user who has been looking to exploit some of the new features that have been promised by Microsoft in the upcoming Windows 10 for Phones, you should look out for the new Elephone dual OS smartphone in the coming few months.
A few years ago, it would have been considered a joke if you told someone that there will once be dual SIM phones. We are now living past this and now, an even newer thing is coming in with a dual OS smartphone on the cards. Isn’t it amazing to have one smartphone with two operating systems? Well, if Elephone is capable of combining these two operating systems on one device and work in a perfect condition, why not have one of these devices?
Rumored specifications of Elephone Dual OS smartphone
If this news turns out to be true, Elephone will have totally changed the world of technology as it is known. Not so many people have thought of having two operating systems on one device. While this has been possible in some instances when working with PCs, it has never happened on a mobile phone.
Display
Better still, the rumored Elephone Duos OS smartphone will be jam packed with high-end features meant to attract more users to the device. One amazing feature that users will definitely enjoy is an impressive 2K display that is featured on the mega 5.5 inch screen size that is also capable of powering a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels.
Processing power
The processing power of the Elephone Duos OS is not bad either. There is a quad-core Intel processor that is expected to ship with this phone. However, it will come with another variant that only features the Android OS and on this model you will come across a 64-bit MediaTek MTK6795 processor. The good thing is that both variants will be shipped with an amazing 4GB of RAM, which will make it the first smartphone with such huge RAM.
Security and camera
The Elephone Duos OS will also feature a fingerprint scanner to ensure that the security of the device is enhanced using the TouchID security. A look at the camera will tell you that this is a high-end phone. The Android model will ship with a 21MP snapper made by Sony on the rear whereas the Dual OS variant will come with a 20.7MP camera. At the moment, nothing has been confirmed about the front-facing camera. However, it is expected to be better than that of Samsung Galaxy S6.
Battery unit
The battery unit will definitely give you longer time than most phones would, unless it has some other bugs consuming power. This is true because the Elephone Duos OS smartphone comes with a battery unit of 3,800mAh. The phone is also expected to be a little bit bulky than most phones. However, the performance you get from this device will be incomparable.
Price and release date
Don’t be mistaken about the name of the phone as it has not been revealed either. Furthermore, nothing has been confirmed regarding the price of this phone but considering the price of devices that are shipped from China, this phone will cost no more than $500 (Rs 32000/-) for the Android version and the dual OS model will even be cheaper. There is also no news of when this phone will be released but based on the fact that it will be shipped with Windows 10 for Phones, we might see this phone debut with the release of this official OS for mobile phone users later this year.
