Social networking and messaging platform Whats App has got a make over once again!
After the calling feature, the app has got a brand new look for Android. The latest WhatsApp build (Version 2.12.41) brings fresh layout and icons, among other changes.
From where to download:
It is currently available only on the company's official website and can be downloaded only from there. Later it will be available on Play store as well.
The app is downloaded and installed manually as yet. The best part is that the update requires no new permission.
Changes:
1. The top taskbar has been merged with the Calls, Chats. On the other hand, the Contacts tabs has a green-coloured band running in the background. The taskbar is no more visible when you scroll down hence leaving more room for viewing content.
2. The tray holding the emoji icons get a different colour. It is a shade of grey instead the black colour.
3. The attachment icon will show a list of options - Gallery, Photos, Video, Audio, Location, and Contact. These icons have black colour in the background.
4. The recording button has a green background making it more attractive.
