Setup multiple monitors in Microsoft Windows 8 /8.1

Microsoft Windows 8, the best operating system that has been developed by Microsoft, has several improvements while compared to its predecessors. Not only with a traditional Windows desktop view, the Microsoft windows 8 has a new Metro user interface that gives more flexibility when you connect multiple monitors to it. For a productive workstation, robust multi-monitor support is a must. And Windows 8 enables its users to connect it to multiple monitors from a single PC or laptop.

Multiple Monitors in Windows 8 allows you to include a separate taskbar on each extendedmonitor. And also you can stretch the single wallpaper over multiple monitors. The most important thing is that, you can use metro style apps in one monitor and ordinary desktop in another monitor side by side with Microsoft Windows 8.
You can get started with Metro or Desktop interface, simply you need to swipe in from the right or move the cursor to the right top end of the corner. There you need to choose Devices > Second Screen.
After that, you will get a list of four choices:
  1. PC Screen Only
  2. Duplicate
  3. Extend
  4. Second Screen Only
If you choose ‘extend‘ option, you can use single display or multiple identical displays in Microsoft Windows 8.
In ordinary desktop mode, you need to go to control panel and select “Appearance and Personalization” option. Under that, select the Display menu, where you will get the above mentioned four choices. Here also, you need to select Extend option for Multiple Monitors in your Microsoft Windows 8.

How to Use Different Task Bar in Multiple Monitors in Microsoft Windows 8:

It is not sure that, you can find all of your configuration for multiple-monitor in windows 8’s control panel itself. In order to use the different task bar in the multiple-monitors, you need to go to taskbar properties. To get these settings, go to Desktop and right click over the Task Bar and choose properties from the Menu.
A dialog box will appear on the Desktop; there you will see a check box: Show taskbar on all displays.
If you want to use multiple taskbar, you have to select the check box.
